TF colocalization map

View genome-wide TF colocalization map in a specific sample

TF colocalization map shows how much each TF colocalizes with other TFs.
Definitions:
  • In the heatmap, TFs in row and column are from the same list. The score in each grid shows percentage of elements with the motif (or footprinting) of factor A (shown in row) also have the motif (or footprinting) of factor B (shown in column).

Filter colocalized TF pairs

Search factors who colocalize with the factor of interest or who were colocalized by the factor of interest. The search module will filter out those TF pairs below a specific cutoff (colocalization score)
Definitions:
  • Colocalization score shows that percentage of elements with the motif (or footprinting) of factor A also have the motif (or footprinting) of factor B.

Extract "stripe" factor by sample

"Stripe" factors are a group of TFs who frequently colocalize with other factors, and they may also provide accessibility to co-binding TF partners in mammalian genomes.
Definitions:
  • If no less than 10% of regulatory elements with the motif (or footprinting) of factor A also have the motif (or footprinting) of factor B, then we defined that factor A is colocalized by factor B, or factor B colocalizes with factor A.
  • If factor B colocalizes with no less than 30% of other expressed factors in a sample, than factor B will be named as a "stripe" factor.
